EPL: Liverpool Defeats West Ham, Extends Unbeaten Streak

Liverpool emerged victorious against West Ham at Anfield on Sunday, securing a 3-1 win.
Mohamed Salah broke the deadlock in the 15th minute after Aguerd fouled him in the penalty box. Salah confidently converted the penalty by placing it in the center of the goal, leaving Areola diving in the wrong direction.
West Ham managed to equalize just three minutes before half-time thanks to Jarred Bowen’s 42nd-minute strike. Nunez had a chance to put Liverpool ahead, but his shot went wide of the post after Salah set him up in a crowded West Ham penalty area.
Finally, in the 60th minute, Nunez extended Liverpool’s lead when he received a well-placed pass from Mac Allister.

The striker took his time well enough before firing the ball past Areola.

Substitute Diogo Jota came in for Luis Diaz nine minutes to the end of the game.

Jota registered his name on the score sheet four minutes after coming in.

Robertson took a corner kick which was headed down his direction by Van Dijk. The Portuguese slotted in the ball in a cool manner.

Today’s victory over the Hammers extends Liverpool’s unbeaten record in all competitions, after playing a draw in their season opener against Chelsea.

With their fifth win in the league, Liverpool stay two points behind table leaders Manchester City.
