The corpse of late afrobeat singer Mohbad has been exhumed for autopsy as investigation into his death gets serious.
This followed the directive of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who demanded for an investigation into the death of the musician. A 13-member probe panel was inaugurated by the Lagos police command on Monday, September 18, in response to the governor’s directive.
On Thursday, September 21, the police command, accompanied by health officials, commenced the exhumation of the singer’s corpse to facilitate an autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed via his X (formerly known as Twitter) page that MohBad’s body has been exhumed to aid in the police investigation. The investigation aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
He posted: “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence. #JusticeForMohad #Justice4Mohbad.”
