Mohbad’s wife’s sister has spoken up about how the singer experienced memory loss but held back from seeking treatment at a psychiatric facility out of embarrassment.
She disclosed this to a well-known media figure and OAP, Daddy Freeze, in an online Instagram interview.

According to her account, she narrated that the singer had been suffering from memory loss and he was meant to go to the Aro Psychiatric hospital in Abeokuta.
She claimed that Mohbad was embarrassed to visit the hospital because he didn’t want to be seen in a mental hospital by Nigerians due to the negative impact that would have on their perception of him.
The sister claimed that she suggested he travel to the United States so that she could take him to a facility where he could receive care without drawing attention from the media, but Mohbad never responded to her.
The following time he called her, he made sure to underline that he was already recovering from the illness.
