An image of Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s return from a medical trip in Germany has gone viral.
It was learned that Akeredolu’s cabinet colleagues were already in Ibadan to greet him.
Akeredolu went on medical leave in June, which was extended indefinitely by the state House of Assembly.
In accordance with constitutional norms, the Ondo governor delegated authority to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
When the Governor turned 67, photos and video of him in a German hospital surfaced.
The Governor was seen dancing with his wife and close acquaintances in the video.
According to a source, the governor would travel to Ibadan for a few days of recuperation.
“I’m also aware that some members of the state Exco might likely visit him there to welcome him back to the state”.
