Just In: Fire breaks out in Lagos airport

Chaos ensued this morning at the international wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport as a fire broke out in one section of the primary gateway airport.

It has been reported that the fire was caused by a malfunctioning cable on the Tarmac. Furthermore, it is said that the fire had previously caused damage to a portion of the FAAN (Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria) administrative office during the previous night.

“All passengers and staff were asked to evacuate the building while the Lagos State Fire service was on hand to complement that of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).”
