The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has initiated the process of delivering a judgment in the case filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
In their petition, the APM is requesting the annulment of President Bola Tinubu’s election, arguing that the Vice President, Kashim Shettma, was not nominated correctly.
The petitioner contends that Shettima was ineligible to participate in the previous presidential election due to his alleged submission for dual nomination, which is purportedly in violation of Section 35 of the Electoral Act.
Justice Haruna Tsammani, the Chairman of the PEPC, is presently reading the main judgment.
