Saturday morning in the Ojuelegba area of Lagos State witnessed a gas leakage from a truck, causing distress for both commuters and motorists. This incident occurred around 9 a.m. between Stadium bus stop and the Barracks bus stop, leading to a diversion of traffic to prevent a potential explosion.
On-site observations by our correspondent revealed the presence of the Lagos State Fire Service and the closure of the road to ensure the safety of everyone involved. The truck emitted a loud whizzing sound as gas escaped from a point at its top.
Currently, diligent security and safety personnel are present on-site, working to prevent any potential incidents. Commuters are encouraging each other to switch off their phones while passing through the hazardous area as a precaution.
An eyewitness by the name of Olamide reported that the gas leak from the truck began around 9 a.m. while it was in transit. He commended the prompt arrival of the Lagos Fire Service in response to the situation.
