Transfer Deadline Day: Liverpool Declines £150 Million Offer for Salah

Reports indicate that Liverpool has turned down a £150 million offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad for Mohamed Salah. Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, has firmly stated that the Egyptian forward is not available for transfer.

Despite Al Ittihad’s willingness to offer Salah a staggering £1.5 million per week, Liverpool remains resolute in their decision not to sell him. Additionally, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, has also dismissed the possibility of a move.

Klopp said: “The position remains the same, absolutely. No doubt about that. We cannot (sell Salah). That’s how it is. Nothing else to say.”

While the Premier League transfer window is set to close on Friday night, the Saudi Pro League transfer window remains open until September 7. This leaves room for Al Ittihad to potentially make a bid for Salah after the Premier League window shuts.

However, Liverpool’s position appears unlikely to change. They maintain their steadfast stance that Salah is not on the market, expressing confidence in his continued presence at the club. Salah has been a pivotal player for Liverpool, contributing 156 goals in 252 appearances and playing a significant role in the team’s Premier League and Champions League victories in 2019.
