Apostle Chinyere to build another OPM free school for autism children in Abia

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has announced that he will establish another school for children born with autism and Down syndrome in Abia State.

Chinyere in a statement said the church is currently operating three free schools in the state. He said, “This school will help children born with autism and Down syndrome in Abia. Already, OPM is currently operating three free schools in Abia State.

“If you can remember the first OPM free school for children born with Autism and Down syndrome was established in Rivers State in October 2020 which is 3 years ago in No 2 Greg Ogbuife Street before buying over a school at No 47 Ogbodo Road, Rukpokwu Rivers State.

“Two luxury buses were bought to pick the special children to school and also return them after school. With the establishment of this free school, the total number of free schools OPM is operating is 28 Free Schools in 12 years now.

“Do you know some families hide these children whenever they have visitors? Do you know some of them feel that these ones are useless to them? But they forget that GOD can never create any useless person.

“There is ability in every disability. It’s just for you to help the children discover that ability and they will become great Children. All OPM free schools are open for both Muslims and Christians from other denominations.”

Chinyere said for more than 12 years, each student is given four sets of school uniforms, one school bag, one sandal, one canvas and some set of books. He said the programme is fully sponsored through tithes and offerings from the OPM Church.
