Fulham have launched a shocking bid to lure Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi from Everton ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
Iwobi is one of the key players for Tofees but the former Arsenal star who enters the final year of his deal is yet to agree on a new contract with Everton and Fulham are bidding to take advantage of the situation to bring the player back to London.
Fulham manager Marco Silva was in charge of the Merseyside club when Iwobi joined from Arsenal in 2019.
The Cottagers are keen to bolster their attack following the £46m departure of Serbian International Aleksandar Mitrovic to Saudi club Al-Hilal two weeks ago.
They have now opened talks with Everton over the signing of the Nigerian international before the transfer window closes on Friday, September 1st, as reported by Sky Sports.
Meanwhile, Wolves have joined Crystal Palace as one of the clubs jostling for the services of the Nigeria International Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Foxes striker is one of many players who have been linked with a summer exit after Leicester’s relegation to the Championship.
Wolves on Monday opened a discussion with Leicester City for Iheanacho who has 12 months left on his contract.
