Breaking: Military holds mass burial for personnel killed in Niger state ambush

The military is presently engaged in conducting a collective interment ceremony for personnel who tragically lost their lives in both an ambush and an air crash that occurred in Niger state.

On August 14, 2023, insurgents ambushed the troops in Niger state, resulting in the unfortunate demise of 14 soldiers, with seven sustaining injuries.

Following this incident, the deployment of an Air Force evacuation aircraft was deemed necessary.

However, this aircraft later experienced a crash that resulted in the loss of all passengers on board, including two pilots and two crew members.
