Presently, President Bola Tinubu is engaged in discussions with key stakeholders involved in the ECOWAS intervention concerning the political deadlock in Niger Republic. This initiative is part of the broader efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing political crisis.
In his capacity as the Chairman of the Authority of the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States, Tinubu is spearheading this engagement.
The ongoing meeting, held at the State House in Abuja, includes prominent figures such as Dr. Omar Touray, the President of the ECOWAS Commission; General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), the leader of the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta and a former Nigerian Head of State; as well as Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser to the President.
