A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress Adamu Garba has reacted to the ministerial portfolios allocation, saying it is the most balanced between the North and the South of the country by any government since 1999.
Garba said the President was deliberate in giving key ministries in infrastructure and finance to the South while he dedicated agriculture and security to the North.
He said The North needs more security and agricultural productivity to grow and industrialize while the South is good with services and infrastructure and the President was wise in harnessing such potential, Garba tweeted.
The Minister and Minister of State, Defence, Mohammed Badaru and Bello Matawalle respectively are from the North-West states of Jigawa and Zamfara while the Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Geidam and Minister of Interior, Saidu Alkali are from Yobe and Gomber in the North-East.
Abubakar Kyari from Borno is the Minister of State, Agriculture, and Food Security and will be assisted by Aliyu Abdullahi as Minister of State in the ministry. Joseph Utsev from Benue State (North Central) is the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation and will be assisted by Bello Goronyo from Sokoto State.
Garba tweeted:
Here is why I think Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominees are balanced:
He dedicated Infrastructure and Finance to the South.
He dedicated Agriculture and Security to the North.
Soft infrastructure like health and education to the North.
Humanitarian and Innovation to the South.
Productivity and Job creation to the North.
The North needs more security and agricultural productivity to grow and industrialize while the South is good with services and infrastructure.
I’m confident that we are good to go!
