BREAKING: Defendant’s absence stalls Emefiele’s arraignment

The arraignment of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) was postponed on Wednesday as the second defendant, Sa’adatu Yaro, was absent due to illness.

Yaro’s counsel requested a new court date, which was granted by Justice Muazu Hamza of the Federal Capital Territory FCT High Court. The Department of State Services (DSS) did not object to the request. The new date for the arraignment is August 23.
