Three individuals lost their lives, and an additional three sustained injuries when a hit-and-run truck collided with a tricycle in the Ogijo-Mosimi region of Ogun State.
The incident took place around 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday, involving an unmarked truck and a tricycle marked with the registration number LSD175QM.
According to reports, the injured victims were transported to Dasochris Hospital Gbaga for medical treatment, while the deceased individuals’ families handled the removal of their bodies.
Anthony Uga, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun Sector Command, verified the occurrence of the accident through Florence Okpe, the Public Education Officer and Chief Route Commander.
Uga expressed deep concern about the recklessness exhibited by certain drivers who fail to consider other road users. He offered advice to all motorists, urging them to prioritize safety and exercise prudent speed limits to avert accidents.
