Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and the former Minister of Labour and Productivity, hailing from Delta State, has been officially named as a ministerial nominee by President Bola Tinubu.
Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Majority Leader, presented this announcement on Friday during the ongoing ministerial screening session in the Senate.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has made a change in the list of ministerial nominees. Dr. Maryam Shetty, who was originally nominated from Kano State and scheduled for screening today, has been replaced.
A letter from the President to the Senate, read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, introduced Mairiga Mahmoud as the new nominee.
It’s worth noting that President Tinubu had initially submitted the name of Shetty along with eighteen other nominees on Wednesday, bringing the total number of Ministerial Nominees to forty-eight, including Keyamo.
