THISDAY Correspondent Udora Orizu Appointed Special Assistant on Press Affairs by Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ben Kalu

Hon. Ben Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has officially appointed Udora Orizu, a Correspondent from THISDAY, as the Special Assistant on Press Affairs.

The appointment was confirmed through a letter dated July 25, 2023, and is effective immediately.

Udora Orizu, who holds extensive experience in political and parliamentary reporting, has been covering the activities of the House of Representatives at the National Assembly since 2020 as a Correspondent for THISDAY Newspapers. 

Prior to her role at THISDAY, she had been actively engaged in journalism for over seven years, during which she covered the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Environment.

Miss Orizu holds a BSc and Diploma in Mass Communication and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree Program in Election and Party Politics at the University of Benin, Edo State.

With her expertise and background in journalism, she is well equipped to fulfill her responsibilities as the Special Assistant on Press Affairs to the Deputy Speaker.
