Supervisor Killed while Gunmen Invade Farm of Former Kwara Senator

On Monday, suspected kidnappers attacked the farm of former Senator Simeon Ajibola, who represented Kwara South in the National Assembly, resulting in the tragic death of the farm’s supervisor, Biodun Ajibola. The deceased was a relative of the former senator.

According to reports, Biodun Ajibola was killed while bravely resisting the kidnappers’ attempt to abduct him on the farm, situated in Isapa, Ekiti local government area of Kwara State.

During the incident, the gunmen also attempted to kidnap Felix Segun Adeleye, the driver attached to the slain farm supervisor.

However, the assailants were deterred when they noticed motorcyclists approaching their location. Consequently, they abandoned the injured driver and chose to pursue the motorcyclists instead.

The source said, “Thank God that Senator Simeon Ajibola was not around. Perhaps their intention was to take him away. But the supervisor in charge of the farms was not lucky, as he was killed when the kidnappers invaded the farms.

“Senator Ajibola’s driver attached to the late supervisor was wounded and he is currently in the hospital in Ilorin receiving treatment.

“The driver told me that they attempted to take him away after killing the supervisor of the farms. But that they abandoned him when they saw some motorcyclists and faced them.”

The State Police Command’s spokesperson, Okasanmi Ajayi, has confirmed the incident, stating that the corpse of the farm supervisor has been removed from the scene.

Ajayi further mentioned that the police are actively pursuing the assailants in an effort to apprehend them.
