Sit-At-Home-Order: FG may collaborate with Finish Govt to extradite Simon Ekpa

By David Kabiyesi

Miffed by the way and manner the illegal sit-at-home order was adhered to by some South Eastern states on Monday, the Nigerian government is under intense pressure to step-up efforts towards immediate extradition of Finland-based Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) agitator, Simon Ekpa.

The Monday sit-at-home order was enforced by IPOB and the Senate is fuming that the only way to get to the bottom of the problem is to arrest and bring Ekpa to justice.

The upper chamber condemned the Monday sit-at-home in the South East geopolitical zone and charged the Federal Government to collaborate with the Finnish Government and extradite a pro-Biafran agitator, Simon Ekpa, for prosecution.

Towards this end, he resolved to invite the Minister of Foreign Affairs (when appointed) and relevant stakeholders to conduct a thorough investigation and bring other sponsors of the act to book.

Recall that special adviser to President Tinubu on national security, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu also held a closed-door meeting with five south-East Governors on Monday to address the issue.
