Women W’Cup: Each Falcons player gets N46.5m for reaching second round

Each Super Falcons player will earn $60,000 about N46.5 million as match bonus for reaching the Round of 16 at the ongoing 2023 Women’s World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand.
Randy Waldrum’s side played a goalless draw against debutants, Republic of Ireland, on Monday (today) to confirm their place in the knockout round.
Each member of the 23-woman squad is now guaranteed $60,000 for qualifying for the knockout stage.
For a quarter-final slot, each player will go home with $90,000 while they are guaranteed $165,000 each if they finish as 4th placed team.
The amount will go up to $180,000 for third place winner while the eventual runner-up will pocket $195,000 for their effort each.
Each player of the winners of the competition will smile home with a princely sum of
$270,000.
The Nigerian Football Federation NFF is also not left out of the largesse, as the body, which already has pocketed $1,560,000 for the Falcons’ participation in the competition, will earn another $310,000, totaling $1,870,000 as the team progressed to the knockout stage.
The NFF will earn additional monies if the team goes all the way to the final and eventually wins the championship.
They will earn $2, 180,000 for the quarterfinal ticket, $2,455,000 for the 4th place winner, $2,610,000 for 3rd place, $3,015 for runner up, and $4, 290,000 as the winner of the World Cup.
