Real Madrid aims to resolve the Kylian Mbappé situation before the new La Liga season begins in the first two weeks of August. However, they are currently awaiting the first move from either the player or his club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), according to sources.
PSG has expressed openness to a deal this summer to avoid losing Mbappé on a free transfer next year. Still, as of now, the two clubs have not initiated talks, with only two weeks remaining before the 2023-24 campaigns kick off in Spain and France.
Despite the situation, Real Madrid remains optimistic and is prepared to finalize a deal if PSG demonstrates a willingness to enter negotiations.
The potential agreement would involve significant costs, surpassing €200 million, including variables. Real Madrid would offer Mbappé a six-year contract extending until 2029. The club intends for Mbappé’s contract to match that of Jude Bellingham, who recently joined the team with a deal worth €103 million plus an additional 30% in variables.
Real Madrid considers Mbappé and Bellingham as pivotal figures to lead their new sporting project, alongside Vinicius Junior. Following Karim Benzema’s departure, the club’s executives aspire to inaugurate the new Santiago Bernabeu stadium, scheduled for completion in December this year, with both Mbappé and Bellingham in the team.
