Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has warned the 27 local government Caretaker Transition Committee to always stayed at the headquarters of their various local government areas.
The Governor gave out the warning while presiding over the swearing in of the 27 caretaker Transition Committee (CTC), 2 Special Advisers Head of Service and the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Musa Usman Secretariat, Maiduguri on Friday..
Represented by his Deputy, Hon. Umar Kadafur saud “avoid the tendency to be at the state capital, you should always stay at the headquarters of your respective local government areas. Thus is the only way you can implement the development policies of thus administration”.
Governor Zulum saud “This administration is fullh committed to bringing government closer bearer to the people. I urge you to prudently manage the public resources through accountability, dedication within the scares resources.
“Since the assumption of office we have committed to ensuring provision security, health, education, youth empowerment, jib creation and agriculture. You should ensure even development across the villages in your local government areas”, Zulum added.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government and Emirate Affairs, Alhaji Babagana Ibrahim said ” the Caretaker Transition Committee chairman were carefully selected based on merit and their proven record and integrity.”
He urged the chairmen to justify confidence repose on.them by Governor Zulum by prudent management of resources and operate within the constitutional of the Federal Republic of Nigerian and the Borno state Local Government Law.
Speaking on Behalf of newly sworn in chairmen, the Chairman Maiduguri Metropolitan council assured the Governor that justify the confidence repose on them by dedicating themselves in provision of dividends of democracy.
