The rate at which Nigerian pastors display wealth and prowess in the public has come under scrutiny even as most of their followers continue to wallow in abject poverty. Call it pride or public show off of financial strength and you won’t be wrong. This might be in the case of General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyomie who recently revealed why he doled out N1m monthly to his wife to keep his “big” running by ensuring there is more than enough to eat.
Speaking during one of his sermons, Pastor Ibiyome revealed that he was left with no other option than increase his home’s monthly allowance from N600k to N1m given the harsh economic condition of the country.
“I used to give my wife N600k for feeding a month, then I use to give every service N500 to 600k per service when I was giving her N600k per month.
“Then I shifted to N1 million per month, my house is big. All women who are not prudent, please be prudent. Don’t tell me your husband is rich so you waste money. If with all the wealth I have my wife can use N1 million,” he said,
The big question is; how much do give madam to keep the house running every month?
