One of the students who managed to flee after Boko Haram attacked the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, in 2014 recently got engaged in the US. Her name is Joy Bishara.
The terrorist organization abducted 276 female students, ages 16 to 18, from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria. Following the event, 57 of the schoolgirls managed to flee by jumping off the trucks they were riding in.

The Nigerian Armed Forces managed to rescue some of the others, but more than 100 remain unaccounted for.
However, Bishara and her cousin Lydia Pogu, who were among the survivors of the attack that attracted attention from all over the world, moved to the US.
She graduated from Southeastern University, where she obtained a degree in social work in 2021.
Bishara recently got engaged in the US.
