Aminu, policeman assaulted by singer Seun Kuti gets promotion

The police officer who was attacked by Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti in May of this year during a clash on the third mainland bridge, Mohammed Aminu, has been given a promotion by the Police Service Commission.

 

In a viral video, the singer shoved and even smacked the policeman, who maintained his composure and did not respond in kind. see the video here.

 

 

 

 

Later, Kuti was taken into custody and charged with assault. However, he entered a not guilty plea and was granted bail.

 

 

 

The police officer was elevated to the position of ASP, according to a statement issued on Thursday, July 20 by the Police Service Commission (PSC). Aminu, according to PSC spokesman Ikechukwu Ani, who issued the statement, showed a high level of professionalism despite the assault.
