Nigerian singers Ayra Starr and Burna Boy are included as former US President Barack Obama released his Summer playlist of 41 songs for the year 2023.
It has become customary for the former American President to reveal the list of songs he is listening to all summer and for the second consecutive year, Burna Boy and Ayra Starr have made the cut.
Ayra Starr made it to the list with her 2023 hit song “Stability’ while Burna Boy’s “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” (Remix) By Burna Boy ft. 21 Savage gave the singer a slot on the table.
In his caption on Twitter, Obama wrote; “Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer — a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed.”

Another Nigerian singer Rema who made the cut alongside Burna Boy and Ayra Starr in the 2022 list could not find his way this time around despite his hit song ‘calm down’ dominating the airwaves across the world.
