Chairman of the APC in Ekiti State, Mr Paul, abducted by unknown gunmen

Mr Paul Omotoso, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, has been abducted by unidentified gunmen. According to sources, he was forcefully taken away on Saturday evening while travelling along Agbado Ekiti-Imesi Ekiti Road.

Segun Dipe, the APC State Publicity Secretary, confirmed the incident, stating that the state party chairman was driving his car on the Agbaso-Imesi Road when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Dipe said, “The chairman was driving in a Venza car along the road.

He said, “The gunmen shot at one of the tyres of the car. He was taken into a Toyota Hilux van and drove off. He was alone in the car when the incident happened, according to the information we have.

“It happened in the evening, we got the information at about 6 pm. The security agencies – police and Amotekun – have been alerted, and they are all working on it,” the APC spokesperson said.

The Police Public Relations Officer of Ekiti State Command, Sunday Abutu, was contacted for information regarding the incident. He responded, saying, “I will get back as soon as I get the confirmation.”
