A talented Nigerian saxophonist named Oluwatobi Kufeji Àlejòpàtàkì has embarked on a remarkable journey in Lagos, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon. Oluwatobi, who recently obtained approval from the relevant authorities, shared his goal of a 200-hour singing marathon on June 10, with plans to break the record for the longest concert by a solo artist in the future.

On July 1, 2023, Oluwatobi officially commenced his singing marathon, and he has already surpassed 25 hours of continuous singing, as captured in a video shared on his Instagram page. The event attracted a gathering of individuals who joined the enthusiastic young man in his uplifting praise and worship marathon.

According to the official Guinness World Records website, the current record for the longest singing marathon by an individual stands at 105 hours, achieved by Sunil Waghmare from Nagpur, India, from March 3 to 7, 2012. Oluwatobi is determined to surpass this milestone and etch his name in the record books.
