Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, the winner of BBNaija Season 7, is currently facing N100 million lawsuit for defamation of character filed by her fellow contestant, ChiChi.
During the BBNaija Reunion show, Phyna made a series of allegations against ChiChi, which has now led to this legal action. Among the accusations made by Phyna were claims that ChiChi had misrepresented her age, stating that she was older than she portrayed and older than most of the Season 7 housemates.
Furthermore, Phyna alleged that ChiChi abandoned her children in Benin, resulting in the unfortunate death of one of them. In a Snapchat post, Phyna also claimed that ChiChi underwent liposuction for N3.5 million and purportedly poisoned her friend in Cyprus out of jealousy before returning to Nigeria.
Recently, a lawsuit was discovered online in which ChiChi, represented by her solicitor, refuted Phyna’s allegations, deeming them false, slanderous, and malicious to her personal brand. ChiChi demanded a public apology from Phyna, sought a hundred million Naira as compensation, and insisted that her colleague refrain from making any further defamatory statements about her.
