Super Eagles and Watford defender, Troost Ekong could be smiling to the bank after news emerged that Greek top-flight side, PAOK is willing to pay 1 million euros have the player join the three-times champions.
Greek news handle, gazzetta. gr reported that an agreement may have been reached between Watford and PAOK to enable the defender leaves before his remaining two years deal runs out.
Should everything go according to plan, Troost-Ekong will earn close to one million euros (N828million) annually at PAOK
The central defender is expected to sign the dotted line on a three-year deal should he pass his medicals with the 29-year-old expected in Greece this week.
Troost-Ekong spent last season on loan at Salernitana but the Italian Serie A club failed to sign him on a permanent deal due knee injury.
