Monique Bertrand, a woman who had believed she couldn’t conceive due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), has accomplished a remarkable feat by giving birth to triplets.
At the age of 38, Monique and her partner, Monique John, 39, had explored various alternatives such as fostering and adoption after experiencing years of unsuccessful attempts to conceive.
However, in April 2022, Monique received an incredible surprise when she learned that she was pregnant, bringing immense joy to the couple. But the surprises didn’t end there.
During the eighth week of her pregnancy, Monique discovered that she wasn’t just expecting one baby, but three.
The couple decided to share this astonishing news of a triplet pregnancy with 200 guests during a baby shower when Monique was 27 weeks pregnant. The announcement left everyone present delighted and amazed.
The birth of these triplets has brought indescribable happiness to Monique and John, surpassing their expectations and triumphing over the challenges they faced on their journey to start a family.
“I waited a long time to be a mum, so when the sonographer said it was triplets, I just shouted in confusion and happinesshappiness”.
“It’s been a blessing with so many challenges. The doctors called them miracle babies.” She said excitedly.
