Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Professor Abubakar Abdulrasheed has tendered his letter of resignation.
Professor Abdulrasheed made the announcement known to NUC staffs on Monday, at the Commission’s headquarters.
He expressed his desire to keep lecturing at the Bayero University, Kano where he was a lecturer before his appointment as the NUC scribe.
He described the new university as his last baby in the Commission, having granted approvals to numerous universities in the country during his seven-year administration.
