President Tinubu reverses decision on NAFDAC, NDLEA dissolutions

As part of his ongoing effort not to throw the baby out with bath water, President Bola Tinubu has stated in clear terms that boards of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) are henceforth exempted from dissolution process, iwitnesslive.com gathered.

This was contained in a clarification statements made available to the press by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) detailing the exemption of some specific board from on-going dissolution process.

President Tinubu, iwitnesslive.com gathered reversed his earlier decision to dissolved both NAFDAC and NDLEA boards because of their crucial roles in the country’s on-going fight against drug abuse and the regulation of food and drug safety.

“Further to the directive on the dissolution of Boards of Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Government-owned Companies, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has clarified that the Boards of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) are exempted from such dissolution,” said Willie Bassey, the Director of Information at the SGF’s office
