Abuja High Court rose from its daily proceeding on Friday ruling that embattled former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele be allowed to have access to his families and lawyers, iwitnesslive.com can report.
The Department of State Services (DSS) had arrested Emefiele last Saturday on his way out of the country, but neither his family members nor lawyers have been allowed to see him
But following a fundamental right enforcement suit filed by Emefiele’s team of lawyers, led by Mr. Joseph Daudu, SAN, Justice Hamza Muazu was left with no option than issued the order,
In his response, DSS counsel Mr. I. Awo assured the court that agency will heed court order as Emefiele’s fundamental right enforcement suit is now adjourned to June 19.
