First Bank of Nigeria Limited has announced that it is one of the sponsors of the second edition of the largest gaming and e-sports tournament in West Africa, Gamr X, hosted by Gamr. According to the lender, its sponsorship of the event aligns with its commitment to youth empowerment and development.
According to a press release, after the success of the inaugural event, which drew thousands of competitors and spectators from across the continent, last year, this year’s promises to be even bigger as Gamr X will be welcoming participation from more than 15 African countries, all set to showcase their exceptional talents in a range of popular gaming titles.
The statement said: “As the popularity of esports continues to skyrocket in Africa, Gamr is dedicated to providing a platform for skilled players to exhibit their abilities and compete at the highest level.
