Chef Dammy unveils plan to unseat Hilda Baci with 150-hour cook-a-thon – VIDEO

Chef Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, recently unveiled her upcoming endeavor to embark on a cooking marathon lasting 150 hours. In an interaction with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, the capital city of Ekiti state, she expressed her intention to surpass a Guinness World Record (GWR).

Chef Dammy, a 300-level Mass Communication student at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), emphasized her unwavering commitment to breaking the world record through her meticulously planned 150-hour cooking marathon.

She acknowledged the support received from various stakeholders within and outside Ekiti state, underscoring her determination to achieve this remarkable feat in the coming months.

Following the Guinness World Records’ acknowledgment of receiving Chef Dammy’s cook-a-thon application on Friday, June 16, a recent interview with BBC Yoruba shed light on her motivations.

Chef Dammy clarified that her intention behind the 120-hour cook was not to secure a record or compete with Hilda Baci.

In the interview, she emphasized that her focus was not on achieving a Guinness World Record title but rather on showcasing her passion for cooking.

Chef Dammy expressed that her goal was not in competition with Hilda Baci, who currently holds the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, standing at an impressive 93 hours and 11 minutes.
