Ex-lawmaker facilitates largest number of projects, empowers thousands in Badagry

Former member of the House of Representatives, Babatunde Hunpe, has facilitated the largest number of projects, empowered thousands of Badagry residents and changed political narratives in the last four years.

In a thank you message to the people of Badagry, Hunpe said he had served his people diligently by facilitating the building of more than 100 classrooms in primary and secondary schools in the three local councils in Badagry Constituency.

Hunpe said he distributed free school uniforms to Public Primary Schools in Badagry and paid N25,000 bursary awards to 250 indigenous students each in various higher institutions of learning.

The former lawmaker said he facilitated the opening of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in Badagry with the assistance of the chairman of the local government, Hon Olusegun Onilude.

He said, “In the health sector, I facilitated the Construction of 20 Beds Ultra Modern Healthcare Centre and the Presentation of Medical equipment to Ajara-Topa, Badagry.

“I facilitated the construction of an Ultra Modern Primary Healthcare Centre at Yeponawa Community, Olorunda LCDA, Badagry and the adoption of a Male Ward and Presentation of Medical Equipment to General Hospital, Badagry.

“I also facilitated the registration of over 200 residents into the Health Insurance Scheme for Greenfield Health Management Limited. I distributed free eyeglasses (Jigi Bola), Drugs to more than 500 Constituents with support for Surgery to some constituents during the official commissioning of Hunpe Constituency Offices in Badagry.”

Hunpe said he installed motorized Solar Powered Borehole Water at Apa, Ganme, Mogotho-Ajido, Agbovipe, Gbanko and Ikotun-Ashe communities within Badagry Federal Constituency.

“I provided electric transformers to different communities which include Iworo, Agakoh, Ajara-Agamathen, Ajara-Topa and Ebute-Olofin. And Solar street lights in over 55 streets across Badagry Federal Constituency.

“I have provided tricycles, motorcycles, wooden boats and engines to alleviate the suffering of my people. I facilitated the employment of many youths of Badagry to different federal government offices.

“When Federal Government banned selling of petroleum in the border communities, I facilitated waiver for Nine Petrol stations in Seme, Owode and Apa, Badagry-West LCDA Badagry. I facilitated the construction of concrete roads at Tori-Lovi, Age-Mowo, Olorunda LCDA, and Badagry.

“I have empowered many constituents with Industrial Sewing Machine, Brand New Outboard Engine, Grinding Machines, Vulcanizer Machines, Sewing Machine, Generators, Standing Dryer, Pedicure and Manicure Kits. Other equipment are Popcorn Machine, Make-up Box, Clippers, and Plumbing Kits at the empowerment program on  Dec. 30, 2021, at St. Thomas Primary School, in Badagry,” he said.
