During a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, Kingsley, popularly known as Kcee, a renowned singer and businessman, made a surprising revelation about his joint gospel album with Okwesili Eze Group, titled ‘Cultural Praise.’ According to Kcee, this gospel album has been more financially rewarding than any other album he has ever released throughout his entire music career.
Kcee candidly shared that when he ventured into gospel music, many people doubted his decision and mocked him, predicting the downfall of his career. However, the outcome turned out to be quite the opposite, as the gospel album experienced tremendous success.
Kcee said, “When I did the gospel [album] and a lot of people were like, ‘It’s over, he is actually going close to his village. Now he’s taking the music to the village”.
That was horrible. When I heard that, I was like, “Okay, let’s see how that works. And it didn’t happen. I made more money from it [the gospel album] than any ever before in my whole career.”
