The 10th Ondo State House of Assembly now has a new Speaker.
He is Olamide Oladiji, the state representative for Ondo East.
At the 10th Assembly’s inaugural sitting on Saturday, Mr. Oladiji, also known as “Landmark,” was elected without opposition.
Members of the House of Assembly, both ‘freshers’ and returning members, backed his nomination.
Oladiji will now succeed Mr. Bamidele David Oleyelogun, whose term expired on Friday.
Similar to his predecessor, Mr. Oleyelogun, who represented the Ifedore Constituency in the Assembly, he is from the same Central District of the State.
