Baring any last minutes hitches, Super Eagles and Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi is expected to discuss his future with club chieftains.
With his contract expected to expire in the summer of 2024, Everton are desperate to keep the Nigerian international and are prepared to do everything possible to ensure that the midfielder tie down a long-term deal..
The Toffees have already presented Iwobi with a contract offer, but he was reluctant to make a decision until Everton’s Premier League status was confirmed.
Sean Dyche’s side managed to stave off relegation on the final day of the season, beating Bournemouth 1-0 at Goodison Park thanks to Abdoulaye Doucoure’s second-half strike.
With Premier League survival secured, Everton are now waiting to hear whether Iwobi will put pen to paper on an extension.
The Toffees paid £28m to sign Iwobi from the Gunners in 2019, plus an additional £7m in add-ons since his arrival at Goodison Park
The Nigeria international has spent four years with the Toffees after completing a transfer from Arsenal in the summer of 2019.
