Tinubu orders DSS to vacate EFCC office immediately

he Department of State Service, DSS, has been ordered by President Bola Tinubu to leave the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, office in Ikoyi, Lagos, immediately.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Tunde Rahman included the President’s instruction.

The statement reads, “The President gave the command when allegations that DSS officials invaded the EFCC office located on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos on Tuesday, barring officials of the anti-graft agency from accessing their work environment, was brought to his attention.

“The President said if there were issues between the two important agencies of government, they would be resolved amicably.”

Earlier, Iwitnesslive had reported that the DSS was stopping EFCC officials from entering their office in Ikoyi, Lagos.

A source who asked to remain anonymous told Premium Times that DSS had barricaded the entire structure and had positioned an armored tank in front of it. The insider reportedly stated, “They even put an armored tank there just to scare us away.”

According to accounts, both entities have been at odds with one another on who is the rightful owner of the structure.

At the time of writing, SSS agents were preventing all of the EFCC employees at the office in Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, from entering the structure.
