During the Presidential Election Petitions court hearing in Abuja on Tuesday, May 30, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), and Datti Baba-Ahmed, who was Obi’s running mate in the February 25 election, were present at the tribunal.
Datti Baba-Ahmed made his first appearance in court on Tuesday, following the inauguration of Bola Tinubu, as Nigeria’s President. Peter Obi had already attended several court proceedings in the previous weeks.
It is expected that only one witness will be called by the Labour Party during the hearing on that day. The party had previously stated that it would need seven weeks to gather 50 witnesses who would testify against Tinubu’s victory.
