Afrobeat star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, said one the steps taken by his dad to ensure his dream of becoming a musician is never realised was to arrest his promoter and few of his fans.
In an interview with Mo Gilligan of Channel4 on the Lateish Show, Davido said his father was bent on seeing his children attain high level of education and become successful businessmen.o
He revealed further that there was a time his father would order the police to storm any of his event and arrest both the organisers of the show and any fan the police could lay their hands on.
“I come from a family where it’s like, education, education, business, so over time my decision to do music was like a beef.
“Any show he [my dad] heard I’m performing at, he sends the police. He arrests the fans, and promoters. He has a camera watching wherever I go to.” he said
