Brazil gaffer Carlos Menezes has warned Nigeria to stop celebrating her win over Italy and face reality that Group D is still open for grabs.
In an exclusive chat with top Brazilian sports handle, Globo, Menezes maintained that a win for Brazil on Sunday could throw up a different permutation in the group.
With Italy highly tipped to overrun group whipping boys Dominican Republic, a win for Brazil against Nigeria would leave the three teams with six points each and goal difference may be the final tool to decide group winner and runner-up
But Menezes is confident of giving Nigetia a good run for their money and squeeze through to knock-out stage.
“The World Cup is very difficult and our group is very balanced. Nigeria already has six points. It was worth a lot for the difference,” Menezes was quoted as saying by Globo.
“Now it’s time to recover these players, show the difficulties of this decisive game, and football doesn’t even have time to celebrate.
“We already have a trip, we have to train to play a great game on Saturday.” he said.
