Erstwhile Golden Eaglet coach, Nduka Ugbade has refused to comment on his recent sack by Nigeria Footballl Federation (NFF), iwitnesslive.com can report.
All effort to get the coach’s reaction to his sack has con tinue to hit the brickwall after NFF President, Igbrahim Gusau confirmed that the duo of Nduka Ugbade and Salisu Yusuf are no longer on it’s payroll after their respected teams failed to qualify for major tournaments.
Gusau harped on the fact that their jobs are tied to team’s performance, stressing that there is no point keeping the two coaches after both U-23 national team and Golden Eaglets failed to fly.
“Their jobs are tied to the competition,s” begins Gusau
” The two coaches have nothing to do now since their teams failed to qualify,” he concluded.
It would be recalled that U-23 Eagles failed to qualify for African Championship, which automatically ruled them out 2024 Olympics in France, while Golden Eaglets lost to Bukina Faso in the quarter-final of the just concluded African U-17 Championship.
