APC quakes as Ganduje boils over Tinubu-Kwankwaso's Paris meeting

By David Kabiyesi

The on-going ripples within All Progressive Congress (APC) hierarchy is not likely to go away anytime soon after fresh facts emerged that the much talked about Paris meeting between New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Aminu Kwankwaso and Tinubu has thrown the party into fresh crisis that is capable of tearing the party down the middle.

The secretly taped meeting which lasted for four hours touched on the posibility of Kwankwaso coming on board Tinubu’s cabinet, a move that has not gone down well with APC faithful like Ganduje

Most northern politicians like Ganduje and Abdulmajid Kwamanda, an APC leader in Kano, vehemently kicked against the move as both men described Kwankwaso as a politician who wants to reap where he did not sow.

“We in the North West do not welcome Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to our party APC. We do not accept the idea of Bola Tinubu giving him any appointment even as low as a messenger in our dear party. Should Tinubu ignore our outcry and appoint Kwankwaso, we are going to disrupt the entire APC in the north and withdraw our support for him, ,” Kwamanda had told reporters.

In a telephone chat with Governor Aminu Masari of Kastina State, Ganduje hinted that Kano is no longer at ease over the news that Keankwaso is joining APC

Ganduje feels he has been unfairly treated by Tinubu’s decision to hold talks with his sworn political enemy

“But at that time, you could have spoken with him (Tinubu). You can (sic) call him and talk to him,” Masari said.
