Flying Eagles step-up preparations in Mendoza

Determined to make an appreciable impact at this year FIFA U-20 World Cup, the Flying Eagles have stepped up preparations ahead of their opener against Dominican Republic on Sunday.

As earlier reported by iwitnesslive.com, the Nigerian contingent landed in Mendoza on Wednesday evening after their 3-3 draw with Colombia.

The Nigerian contingent was received by NFF’s Head of International Competitions, Dayo Enebi, and members of the Local Organising Committee upon arrival at Aero Puerto International Airport, Mendoza

Flying had defeated Argentine second division side, Almirante in one of their warm-up games arranged by Nigeria football federation in Bueno Aires

Nigeria, will be making her 13th appearance at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, and will be looking forward to winning it for the first time. Grouped alongside Dominican Republic Italy and Brazil, it remains to be seen how coach Ladan Bosso intends to paddle his canoe to the shore given the pedigree of Italian and Brazilian oppositions in their group.
