Famous Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has revealed how she underwent incredible body transformation to prepare herself for the challenge of claiming Guinness Book of Record in cooking.
The Akwa-Ibom-born chef, who Monday morning broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking period, revealed that she dropped 30kg in the space of two years to achieve her desired body goal.
A throwback video of Hilda showing off her remarkable transformation through her weight loss journey has surfaced on the internet. This comes after her inspiring quest to surpass the current record held by Indian chef, Lata Tondon, who cooked non-stop for 87 hours and 45 minutes,
Hilda, who has demonstrated an admirable level of strength and resilience since she started the 4-day cooking marathon on Friday, revealed that she used to weigh 110kg but has successfully reached a current weight of 81kg.
She also blamed her unhealthy eating habit for her excessive weight gain and said she has been cautious to maintain her current weight.
“Some of you that just followed me don’t know this but used to be me at a point, I was weighing 110 kg and this is me today at 81 kg. It took me two years to get here; losing weight and getting my desired body wasn’t easy. It took a lot of steps, and now that I have lost weight I have to maintain it so I don’t go back to where I was coming from,” she said.
