Nollywood was thrown into mourning again following the sudden death of star actor Murphy Afolabi. The actor was said to have died after suffering a fall in his bathroom in the early hours of Sunday.
Here are the six things to know about the light-skinned thespian.
1. The late actor hailed from Oshogbo, the capital of Osun State. He was from the Oroki Asala area of the ancient city.
2. He was born on May 5th, 1974; he was 49 years old at the time of his death.
3. He had his primary and secondary school in Oshogbo and proceeded to the Osun State Polytechnic in Iree where he obtained a Diploma in Theatre Arts and Film Production.
4. He began his acting career in 1998 under the tutelage of veteran actor Fasasi Olabankewin popularly known as Dagunro.
5. He was not known to have married any woman but he had three kids namely Afolabi Olamilekan, Afolabi Fathia Moyosore, and Okikiola Afolabi.
6. He produced over 60 movies including the hugely successful flick titled Omo Rapala. He acted in more than one hundred films during his illustrious career.
