Super Eagles gaffer, Jose Peseiro has wanted Italian Serie A champions, Napoli to brace up for mother of all war in the desperate effort to keep Victor Osimhen next summer.
Osimhen rallied back for Napoli on Thursday night against Udinese to secure the much-needed draw to win the Scudetto after 33 years of wait.
But the Portuguese tactician believes that feat coupled with Osimhen’s sterling performance in the Italian Serie A this season has thrown up the 24-year-old striker before the preying eyes of transfer hawks.
“Everyone wants to buy one like this, it won’t be easy for Napoli to keep him in the summer,”
“If the Azzurri rightly ask for millions for his price tag, I am convinced that there will be several clubs willing to meet De Laurentiis’ high demands.
“This Osimhen would be a starter in any team in the world,” Peseiro told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
Osimhen has two years left on his contract with Napoli.
